Results/Recap
We had two Walkabout events in the AMA season and one winner, Jorge Rimblas. With two out-of-this-world rounds in the -20s, Jorge bests fellow Minnesotan Shawn Brown by 2 strokes. Shawn had the best result on the hard course of Thethys Station with a -24. AMA season 1 champion Mick Cullen came in 3rd after scoring the best of the field on the easy course with a -25. You can see Jorge’s full scorecard below. Join in on the tournaments by checking out #Tournament-Info section on the Walkbout Discord page.
Thank you again to Walkabout for being an incredible sponsor of the AMA and for creating so many fun courses that make the winter months fly by!

The best virtual reality mini golf game, Walkabout Mini Golf, will once again provide another virtual scoring opportunity for AMA points for 2023. We wanted to give an additional opportunity for people to earn points once all of the in-person mini golf events finished up for the 2023 season.
Join Walkabout’s Dischord channel and head to the #Tournament-Info channel for all the details of joining the official weekly tournaments. If you’re an AMA member and need the link to this group, please contact us via social media or email. AMA member Jorge Rimblas made a landing page where you can access all the information, status and more for the Walkabout league with your Discord account There are specific rules and tee times that you must follow for your results to count.
We’ll be utilizing the results from Week 1 of Season 11, which will occur between November 11th and 12th. The courses for week one that we will use in this event are selected:
Rd 1: Tethys Station (Easy)
Rd 2: Tethys Station (Hard)
This weekly tournament is held every Sunday (and Saturday pm US). You can play at any of 6 different tee times every four-hour increment between 00:00 & 20:00 UTC. For example, US central tee times will be
11/11: 6pm, 10pm
11/12: 2am, 6am, 10am, 2pm
These times take into account daylight savings already.
Players of all levels are welcome and we’d encourage people to stick around for the entire season of play.
Please follow the instructions at #Tournament-Info to sign up and compete. You’ll need to play using the stated rules.
Once you’ve played, you’ll want to let us know your AMA membership name and your handle (aka name) on Walkabout so we can attribute points via a form you can find at https://bit.ly/ama2023wmg2. We will only attribute points to those who opt-in to let us know their screen names. You have until Saturday, November 18th to register for free to become an AMA member and submit the form for your points to count for this event.
