Rogue Eagle Tournament aka The Eagle Has Landed!

  • Rogue Eagle Mini Golf - Proctor, MN 26 Waterview Drive Proctor, MN, 55810 United States (map)

Results/Recap

On a beautiful day in the Duluth area overlooking Lake Superior, 7 putters competed in the first nationally recognized competitive tournament at the 18-hole Harris-built Rogue Eagle course.

In the pro division, Tom Loftus won 2 strokes in the back 9 to take home 1st in a neck-and-neck battle with Mike Pendleton. Mike had a chance to tie and push to a playoff on the final hole after Tom took his only 3 of the back 9 on #18. Scores in the low 80s have won competitive local league events.

Andrea Pendleton took home 1st in the amateur division with a pro-level round of 43 winning by 8 strokes.

On the foggy Friday the 13th evening kickoff event, 4 juniors (Alex, Jack, Owen and Ethan) kicked things off and competed in a single-round tournament. Owen Pendleton came out top by 1 stroke with a round of 45 over 6-year-old Jack. In the doubles event, Roger Mattson & Dan Kohlhaas each shot a round of 39 to take home the doubles title by 9 strokes. They both played with house putters too!

Note: Due to the size of the field, it was determined by AMA organizers that no bonus points would be awarded to the top finishers in the pro division and that the base level points would start at the size of the pro field which was 4 competitors.
