The first week of Season 12 of the Mighty Coconut Walkabout Weekly Tournament paired two courses released in 2023, Journey to the Center of the Earth (Easy) and Atlantis (Hard). Both courses have lots of tricky holes where hole-in-ones are hard to come by and an errant tee shot can put you into bogey territory. Despite all of these challenges, we see a familiar face at the top of the leaderboard. Jorge Rimblas won his 3rd AMA Walkabout event in a row with a combined -35. Jorge tied Matt Roalstad for most hole-in-ones with 6 and tied Mick Cullen for the best score on the Atlantis (hard) course with a -14. Jorge took an uncharacteristic 5 on Atlantis #17 but closed with the challenging ace on #18 to secure the win. Jorge needed that ace because 2022 AMA season winner Mick Cullen was only 2 strokes behind with a -33. Shawn Brown narrowly lands in 3rd with an impressive -22 on the easy course. Matt Roalstad, Tom Loftus and Kyle Courcy all had strong rounds to narrowly put them in the top half of finishers who would receive a single point.
Congrats again to Jorge! He’s the AMA player to beat on Walkabout right now. 🏆🏆🏆

Event Details
The best virtual reality mini golf game, Walkabout Mini Golf, will once again provide virtual scoring opportunities for AMA points for 2024.
Join Walkabout’s Dischord channel and head to the #Tournament-Info channel for all the details of joining the official weekly tournaments. Once you join, you can go to the weekly tournament landing page created by AMA member Jorge Rimblas where you can access all the information, status, and more for the Walkabout league with your Discord account. There are specific rules and tee times that you must follow for your results to count for the weekly league and thusly to have your results count for this AMA virtual event.
To play, you’ll need to let us know your AMA membership name and your handle (aka name) on Walkabout so we can attribute points via a form you can find at https://bit.ly/amavirtualevent2024. We will only attribute points to those who opt-in before the event to let us know their screen names. You have until Saturday, February 24th at 5 pm to register for free to become an AMA member and submit the form for your points to count for this event.
We’ll be utilizing the results from Week 1 of Season 12, which will occur between February 24 & 25th. The courses two courses are now selected!

This weekly tournament is held every Sunday (and Saturday pm US). You can play at any of 6 different tee times every four-hour increment between 00:00 & 20:00 UTC. For example, US central tee times will be
2/24: 6pm, 10pm
2/25: 2am, 6am, 10am, 2pm
Players of all levels are welcome and we’d encourage people to stick around for the entire season of play.

Please familiarize yourself with the rules before playing. Each weekly round is played across one easy, and one hard course. The courses for the following week are randomly selected each Monday.

Examples of not being cool:
Being a distraction verbally or visually, raging, quitting for any reason, cheating in any way, excessive cursing, being a jackass in any other way,
The uncool will be removed permanently from participation.
